Entry by Mila Bongco Philipzig. Edmonton, Alberta

Artist's Statement
In 2021, I published a bi-lingual children's books inspired by a true story of Antonio Flores who was appointed Alberta's First Advocate for People with Disabilities.
This is a story about an immigrant Filipino boy who becomes a para-athlete on a national level in Canada and competes in the Olympics and world's events for wheelchair racing, kayaking, as well as downhill skiing.
Tony's Wheels comes with Activity Sheets as I do online or virtual author reading in various schools.
