Katahimikan is an art piece inspired by the history and aesthetic of Filipino pre-colonial times. I wanted to promote the beauty of the Filipino Binibini (Princess) to people outside of the culture and to the new generation of Filipinos. I wanted to express serenity in my art to people looking at it.
